Ὄλβιος ὅστις ἰδὼν κεῖν’ εἶσ’ ὑπὸ χθόν’·
οἶδε μὲν βίου τελευτάν,
οἶδεν δὲ διόσδοτον ἀρχάν

Blessed is he who sees them* and goes beneath the earth;
he knows the end of life
and knows its Zeus-given beginning.
